Kartell
Kartell is an Italian design company that was founded in 1949 by Giulio Castelli and Anna Castelli Ferrieri. Originally specializing in the production of plastic parts for cars and household accessories, Kartell expanded its range in the 1960s to include furniture and furnishings made of plastic.
The company is known for its innovative designs and collaborations with renowned designers such as Philippe Starck, Ron Arad, Antonio Citterio, Ferruccio Laviani and Patricia Urquiola. Some of Kartell's most iconic products are the transparent chair "La Marie" and the "Louis Ghost" by Philippe Starck as well as the modular storage system "Componibili" by Anna Castelli Ferrieri.
In the 1990s, Kartell was the first company in the world to succeed in producing polycarbonate furnishings, which opened up completely new design possibilities. Today, Kartell offers a wide range of products, including seating, tables, lighting, storage solutions and home accessories, which are known for their quality, durability and innovative design.
