USM
World class Switzerland. USM is probably the world's best-known Swiss furniture manufacturer. USM has a permanent place in many prestigious corporate offices, management offices, public buildings and also in many living rooms. The continuity is fantastic: as early as 1961, the new company headquarters - planned by Swiss architect Fritz Haller (you guessed it) - laid the foundation for a modular furniture system that has often been copied but never displaced.
Patented in 1965, the spherical connection, an iconic trademark, is still at the heart of USM furniture today. Success came quickly: from the 1970s to the 2000s, USM opened branches in Germany, the USA and France. The world stage was ready to be conquered by the furniture makers from Münsingen. The ennoblement came in 2001: USM Haller became part of the permanent exhibition of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
And the journey is far from over.
